This page contains information about the HOUDini project, including the history of the project, a list of the people involved in the project, and where the developers hope to take the project in the future.
HOUDini is an application that allows users to easily make changes to a copy of php.ini, then deploy those changes to their web server. All of the settings in php.ini are listed in a form in your browser, with a text field next to them containing their current value. If you change the value in the text field and click "Make Changes", the value is changed in php.ini. See screenshots here.
HOUDini is for people who are very comfortable with PHP and making changes to PHP's configuration files. We cannot stress this enough. While HOUDini makes it very easy make beneficial changes to php.ini, it also makes it very easy to make changes that cannot be easily undone. Seasoned PHP developers need not be afraid, but inexperienced users should not use HOUDini.
